VINYLESTER RESIN

Vinylester is a resin produced by esterifying a epoxy resin with a unsaturated monocarboxylic acid. It can be used as alternative with matrix or polyester and epoxy materials in composite materials. Ketone peroxides which provide slow curing with their polyester resins, will harden quickly with Vinylester resins. Solvents which act as promoter in polyester resins, act a an inhibitor when used in Vinylester resin curing.
